RedStone has launched a new oracle service called RedStone Bolt, designed to provide near-instant price updates to decentralized applications. The product is live on the MegaETH testnet and is designed specifically for blockchains that process data at high speeds, like MegaETH, which targets 100,000 transactions per second, according to a note shared with crypto.news. Oracles are tools that send real-world data, like asset prices, onto blockchains, where smart contracts can use them to execute decisions. Many existing oracles use a slower, “pull” model where smart contracts request data. RedStone Bolt uses a “push” model that sends updates automatically and faster, reducing the delay between market price changes and when they show up on-chain. Bolt is built for real-time performance. It can update price data every 2.4 milliseconds, compared to the 10-second intervals in RedStone’s ( RED ) existing feeds. This speed is necessary for new blockchains like MegaETH, where blocks are created every 10 milliseconds. Because RedStone Bolt uses the push model, it can work with many existing DeFi protocols without requiring them to change their code or go through new audits. The system streams data directly from centralized exchanges, aggregates it, and delivers it on-chain almost immediately. This is meant to support DeFi apps that rely on up-to-date pricing to avoid risks like flash loan attacks or incorrect liquidations. RedStone Bolt is available now on the MegaETH testnet. Developers building on the chain can test real-time data flows and begin integrating the oracle without additional engineering work.

Solana surged 13% over 24 hours, trading near $108.80 and reclaiming the $100 level. However, SOL faces immediate resistance at its 20-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) around $122.81. Reclaiming this level is necessary for further upside. The MACD indicator remains bearish after breaking below its signal line during the recent crash. Holding above $100 is critical. Cardano climbed over 12% in the past day to trade near $0.5841, boosted by a 31% volume surge. The daily chart’s Accumulation/Distribution metric shows significant buying interest since last November. ADA needs to hold above the lower Bollinger Band support near $0.5760. If successful, a retest of the middle Band around $0.6755 is possible. A breakdown below $0.5760 risks losses towards $0.40. Dogecoin traded near $0.1492, up 13% over 24 hours. The popular memecoin faces key resistance at its 20-day EMA near $0.16838. Bulls need to reclaim this level to potentially target $0.20. The National Cryptocurrency Association unveiled findings this week from its most extensive research yet on U.S. crypto holders, revealing a broad and diverse population engaging with digital assets for everything from shopping to long-term investing. The report, based on a Harris Poll survey conducted in late January and early February 2025, analyzed responses from 54,000 adults, identifying 10,000 current cryptocurrency owners. “This is the largest survey ever conducted of cryptocurrency holders,” the report states, noting that ownership spans income levels, industries, and age groups. Sixty-seven percent of holders are under 45, 15% are over 55, and 26% earn less than $75,000 annually. According to the report: Far from an elite audience, 21%, or one in five American adults—roughly 55 million people—own at least some crypto. Some use it to invest in their financial future, others for art and games, and still more are simply curious and testing the waters. In addition, many are already using crypto to make everyday purchases. A full 39% of holders use cryptocurrency to pay for goods and services, and 31% use it to send money to family. Among those using it for shopping, 22% transact weekly and another 22% monthly. Despite varied use cases, 52% of owners said they’re most interested in using crypto to grow their long-term financial security over the next two to three years. Enthusiasm for crypto’s future was strong, reflected in survey results showing that 76% of participants experienced a positive impact from cryptocurrency, with 46% describing that impact as very positive. “A solid majority (76%) reported a positive impact from cryptocurrency, with 46% considering it very positive,” the report read, emphasizing: Respondents demonstrated a widespread optimism for crypto. Far from seeing it as a flash in the pan, they believe it has improved their lives personally and has the potential to bring more positive change and transparency to the financial system as a whole. Notably, 49% cited increased financial independence, while 45% pointed to crypto as an opportunity for personal growth. However, concerns remain: 75% expressed worries about scams and security, and 67% fear regulations could stifle innovation. Still, 64% support government regulation and 73% want the U.S. to lead globally in crypto innovation.
