Metaverse division Reality Labs’ total losses reached $47 billion, a figure that has exceeded Ford’s market capitalization
Meta's metaverse division, Reality Labs, has incurred a total loss of $47 billion, which has exceeded Ford's market value (approximately $45 billion).
Reality Labs had a loss of less than $5 billion in 2019, over $10 billion in 2021, and nearly $14 billion in 2022. In addition, Meta stated in its recent third-quarter report that it expects Reality Labs' operating losses to increase significantly in 2024.
