Bitcoin Futures Open Interest on CME Exchange Hits $21.3 Billion as Market Cap Approaches $2 Trillion
The open interest for Bitcoin futures on the CME exchange has reached 218,000 BTC ($21.3 billion), while the cryptocurrency's market cap is nearing a historic $2 trillion. According to K33 research, the growth in CME is largely driven by active and direct participants. Bitcoin's market capitalization has increased by $30,000 since the U.S. presidential election at the beginning of November, bringing it closer to the $2 trillion mark.
