Ripple: Will announce the test results of the eHKD pilot program with Fubon Bank. Hong Kong does not yet have its applicable license to apply for
Ripple Labs and Fubon Bank have tested their digital Hong Kong dollar (eHKD) pilot program, with results to be announced during Fintech Week. Rahul Advani, Ripple's Director of Public Policy for the Asia-Pacific region, stated that there are currently no licenses available in the Hong Kong market that would allow for Ripple's business to be applied. Brooks Entwistle, Ripple's Senior Vice President and General Manager, added that Ripple will explore more use cases in compliance with regulations.
