SlowMist founder, Yu Xian, wrote on X platform that an address starting with 0xc108 was hacked for 3.4 million US dollars worth of cryptocurrency due to a phishing scam. One transaction was an increase in authorization limit (increaseAllowance), and the other was an offline authorization signature (permit). These are common phishing techniques, but they have been very effective for scammers to succeed.
Previously, according to PeckShield monitoring, three phishing addresses on Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum stole approximately 3.4 million US dollars worth of cryptocurrency from the address starting with 0xc108.
