Polkadot’s active addresses hit a record high for the second consecutive month
On May 10th, it was reported that Polkadot blockchain activity has surged to a record high, with active addresses reaching a historic new high for two consecutive months. According to data from DotLake, as of the end of April, the network had approximately 650,000 active addresses on-chain. This growth continues the upward trend of active blockchain addresses exceeding 605,000 in March.
Polkadot stated that this milestone represents a significant increase in activity, setting a new record high for monthly active accounts since the launch of parachains in 2022. The increase in active addresses is mainly attributed to Moonbeam. During the reported period, Moonbeam's addresses accounted for over 60% of these addresses, totaling 397,515, while Polkadot only had 136,612 addresses.
