United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and DFINITY Foundation Collaborate
According to financefeeds, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is collaborating with the DFINITY Foundation to enhance the Universal Trust Certificate (UTC) program using internet computer blockchain technology. The aim of this partnership is to increase digital trust and financial inclusivity for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) globally.The UTC framework was launched by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other strategic partners to enhance the chances of MSMEs obtaining financing domestically and cross-border by building trust in digital data. Through promoting blockchain-based solutions, the UTC program aims to create a sustainable financial ecosystem that empowers MSMEs.The DFINITY Foundation will leverage its expertise in decentralized computing and digital identity solutions to develop and test prototypes for the UTC pilot program in Cambodia. The Internet Identity (II) solution of internet computer blockchain will ensure secure storage and management of digital certificates, thereby enhancing the credibility of the UTC system.
