VanEck executive: Over $6 trillion in inheritance may flow into cryptocurrencies in the next 20 years
Matthew Sigel, the head of digital asset research at VanEck, said that over the next 20 years, more than $6 trillion in assets could flow into cryptocurrency. Sigel cited a 2024 report from the US Bank Private Bank, which stated that by 2045, Generation X, Millennials, and future generations will inherit $84 trillion in wealth from the older generation and baby boomers. To make $6 trillion flow into cryptocurrency, young American investors aged 21-43 must inherit $42 trillion from the baby boomer generation and allocate 14% of their funds to cryptocurrency investment. Over the next 20 years, young investors will need to invest $300 billion annually.
