Mark Cuban Calls on U.S. SEC to Remove Its Chairman Gary Gensler
On July 13, Mark Cuban called on the U.S. SEC to remove its chairman, Gary Gensler, during a crypto regulatory conference, stating "I don't believe Gensler has protected any investors in the cryptocurrency space or elsewhere, and his approach at the SEC has been to regulate through litigation. This means that cryptocurrency companies are unlikely to follow clear rules. This is evidenced by the fact that no companies are currently issuing tokens for cryptocurrency apps."
The meeting was reportedly attended by U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse (D-Colo.), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), and SkyBridge Capital CEO Anthony Scaramucci. (Fortune)
