Scammer returns $9.3 million worth of DAI to victims 10 months after phishing campaign
On July 15th, according to Cointelegraph, on September 6th, 2023, victims suffered a phishing scam worth $24.2 million, losing 9,579 Lido Staked Ether (stETH) and 4,850 Rocket Pool (rETH) tokens. However, ScamSniffer first discovered on July 13th that the scammer had returned some of the funds last week through two transactions using the Dai (DAI) stablecoin. Etherscan data shows that the first transfer returned $5.23 million on July 8th, while the other transfer of $4.04 million was sent on July 13th. However, no one has yet given any explanation for these sudden transfers.
