Crypto advocacy platform founder Paul Brigner becomes head of Coinbase Institute

"At Coinbase, I will have the chance to expand the Institute’s scope, driving thought leadership through research and close collaboration with a diverse technology policy community, including industry partners, think tanks, academic institutions, trade associations, advocacy organizations, and more," Brigner wrote on the social media platform X.
Launched in May 2022, the Coinbase Institute is a think tank that collaborates with academics, legislators and other leaders with the goal of broadening cryptocurrency research and discourse.
Brigner will continue to spearhead certain operations for Pretty Good Policy for Crypto, the crypto-focused advocacy organization borne out of the Electric Coin Company that he founded. Brigner is also joining Electric Coin Co's board of directors at the Bootstrap Project, and so adds that he "will remain an active part of the Zcash ecosystem," after previously serving as Electric Coin Co's vice president of strategic alliances as well as head of policy and strategic advocacy.
Zcash is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency. It traded at $28.83 as of 2 p.m. ET, according to The Block's Zcash price page .
