If Trump wins, the SEC may take a softer approach to crypto enforcement

Odaily News The cryptocurrency industry is hoping the upcoming U.S. presidential election will put someone with a softer approach to law enforcement in the White House, ending a long battle with Wall Street’s top regulator. Former President Trump has recently grown close to the cryptocurrency industry, even inviting supporters to a July 27 bitcoin fundraiser. While the Republican nominee has criticized cryptocurrencies during his time in office, his recent comments have been friendlier — and lawyers expect the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will stop pursuing the digital asset space so aggressively if he wins.
