TD Cowen: Cryptocurrency enforcement actions may be delayed after Trump takes office
ChainCatcher reports that investment bank TD Cowen believes the situation may change under the leadership of the Trump administration.
TD Cowen's researchers wrote on Monday, they believe "once Trump appoints a new SEC chairman, cryptocurrency enforcement could be put on hold, regardless of whether Gary Gensler resigns from his position as an SEC commissioner. He will appoint a new SEC chairman on January 20."
TD Cowen's researchers claim they believe the new chairman will reassess existing cases launched by financial regulatory agencies against cryptocurrency companies and "look for ways to more clearly explain how cryptocurrency companies comply with existing laws."
