Former Riot Games exec's Sui-based game 'E4C: Final Salvation' available in limited launch
Quick Take Ambrus Studio has launched “E4C: Final Salvation” in India, with a global beta ongoing. The game, built on the Sui blockchain, also had its TGE last week. Closed beta ends December 24; future regional launches under evaluation.
Ambrus Studio, led by former top Riot Games executive Johnson Yeh, announced on Tuesday it launched the title "E4C: Final Salvation" in a limited capacity.
While the game has launched fully in India, for the rest of the world, "E4C: Final Salvation" is only available in a closed beta until later this month.
The video game is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game "set in a dystopian future" that incorporates integration with NFTs, according to a statement. Ambrus Studio has launched the game on the Sui blockchain, which was primarily developed by Mysten Labs. Both Sui and Mysten Labs are backers of Ambrus Studio, according to a statement.
"[India] is an ideal region in terms of the competitive landscape, where the mobile MOBA genre has not taken off yet but we believe we can win in this market," Ambrus said in a statement. "This is why we elected to launch the game there first, while providing the rest of the world an open experience for a period of time. We'll then evaluate additional regions for the game over the coming months."
The global closed beta ends on December 24. Ambrus Studio held a token generation event, or TGE, for "E4C: Final Salvation" last week.
Yeh, who served as managing director, regional head of Greater China and Japan and Southeast Asia, founded Ambrus Studio in 2021. Initially, the company focused on publishing free-to-play games for gamers in "South Asia, emerging Middle East and Africa."
