Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas predicts that in 2025, exchange-traded funds based on altcoins such as XRP , Litecoin (LTC), Hedera (HBAR) and Solana (SOL) may receive approval from US regulators.

We expect a wave of cryptocurrency ETF launches next year, though not all at once. The first to appear will likely be ETFs that combine Bitcoin and ether, then probably Litecoin (since it is a fork of Bitcoin = a commodity), then HBAR (since it is not considered a security), and then XRP и Solana , — wrote Eric Balchunas.

He also noted that the approval of spot ETF based on leading altcoins in the US could significantly impact cryptocurrency prices as funds expand investor access to digital assets.

Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds have attracted $2,46 billion.
