The largest mining company Marathon Digital Holdings reported that it provides heat to almost 80 homes in Finland. Previously, it was known that 000 homes in the Finnish region of Satakunta were heated, now another 11 homes have been connected to the network.
The company uses district heating technology that makes efficient use of excess heat generated by bitcoin mining. The system heats water and sends it through underground pipes to heat homes.
Major investors and experts have already assessed the importance of this event.

Marathon Digital Holdings is currently the world's largest Bitcoin mining company and the second-largest public holder of Bitcoin. The miner's market cap is estimated at approximately $7 billion. Marathon holds 44 BTC on its balance sheet.
