Crypto wallet provider Trust Wallet has fixed a glitch that was causing token balances to disappear or display incorrectly.
On Saturday, December 21, users of the popular crypto wallet Trust Wallet reported problems with displaying their balances. One user wrote that he was unable to see how much assets were stored in his accounts. Another user complained that he almost had a heart attack when he saw his balance as zero.
The crypto wallet provider acknowledged the issue, initially stating that the glitch only affected BNB and Trust Wallet (TWT) tokens. However, the company later updated the information, admitting that the problem affected all crypto assets. At the same time, Trust Wallet developers assured their users that their funds were safe.
A few hours later, the provider posted another message stating that the problem had been fixed.
Hi Trust Fam, no more crashes! The issue has been resolved and everything should now work as expected. Thank you for your understanding, they wrote in the message.
Although the Trust Wallet balance outage lasted only a few hours, it caused a lot of concern in the crypto community. Experts believe it is connected to the rise in digital asset thefts in 2024. According to Chainalysis, the amount of stolen cryptocurrencies has grown to $2,2 billion since January, which is 21% more than last year.
