Kekius Maximus Token Soars 500% as Elon Updates his Profile on X
A new memecoin Kekius Maximus has occupied the trend space on crypto since Tuesday as Elon Musk changes his display name and picture to the icon, thereby making the coin soar above 500% within hours.
Kekius Maximus is a little known meme on the internet, which seems as a fusion of Pepe The Frog character and Maximus movie character from the movie Gladiator.
According to CoinGecko data , the memecoin Kekius Maximus (KEKIUS) has spiked over 500% in hours. Not only this memecoin but several other Kekius-themed memecoins have also taken the stage with rising over 200% despite being launched few hours ago.
Elon Musk is now better found posting memes and communicating with random users on X and this name change in his handle is also a part of it. Kekius Maximus is a meme, famous among internet users with it based on the popular movie character Maximus Decimus Meridius from Gladiator.
While this name only sounds gimmick for normal people, degenerates in the crypto space are often found heavily connected to such memes with the similar named memecoins being found in their crypto wallets.
A trader who bought KM – another Kekius Maximus-themed memecoin – 3 weeks ago has turned his initial $434 of investment into $167k as the memecoin spiked over 14,000% today. Similarly, another trader has turned his $16.5k into $644.9k in this memecoin.
These happenings are not new to the crypto space, specifically for memecoin investors, with some people having gained generational wealth overnight onto their mere capital. This sudden spike in KEKIUS could also bring back the memecoin season into the market.
