Analysis: The legal dispute between the U.S. SEC and Ripple may be resolved before April or May
According to a message from ChainCatcher, as reported by Cryptodnes, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed his strong desire to cooperate with the new leadership of the SEC. This has sparked industry speculation that the lawsuit between the SEC and Ripple could be dismissed or settled.
Legal analyst Jeremy Hogan suggested that this case might be resolved before April or May, although procedural requirements may extend this timeline. Under current government leadership, it is expected that the SEC will make its final efforts before its change in leadership. As the deadline for submitting court statements was January 15th, this agency may attempt to influence the direction of the case.
However, industry insiders predict that an upcoming pro-cryptocurrency administration will likely create a more favorable environment for Ripple. A positive outcome could pave way for approval of XRP ETFs.
