Consumer-focused blockchain Abstract unveils mainnet
Abstract, a consumer-focused blockchain leveraging the zero-knowledge stack by ZKsync and Celestia to drive mass adoption, has announced the launch of its mainnet.
The team behind the project’s consumer blockchain network aims to create a platform that removes barriers to accelerated mass adoption.
According to an announcement , the Abstract mainnet integrates ZKsync ( ZK ) and Celestia ( TIA ) architecture to enhance security and transaction speed. To bring web2 benefits to web3, Abstract introduced The Portal, a “digital theme park of fun” that simplifies onboarding by enabling a global wallet ecosystem.
Users can quickly enter the web3 ecosystem using just their email address, with interoperability allowing access to multiple decentralized applications and projects.
“The launch of Abstract is more than just a technical milestone—it’s a shift in how everyday users – and not just crypto natives – experience blockchain. We’ve built Abstract to strip away the complexities of crypto, offering an intuitive and enjoyable experience that empowers users to explore and create effortlessly, “ said Luca Netz, Abstract co-inventor.
Consumer-focused blockchains and crypto projects aim to drive adoption of dApps that integrate seamlessly into users’ daily lives. Key features include ease of use, fun, and ownership, alongside benefits such as decentralized governance systems and transparency.
Abstract developers have worked on ecosystem projects such as Ethereum, Pudgy Penguins and Kubernetes.
Recently, the platform announced that Circle’s bridged USDC ( USDC ) Standard would go live on the Abstract mainnet on day 1. Integration means composability, with developers and users benefiting from the stablecoin’s features that remove liquidity fragmentation.
