Alchemy Pay to offer crypto payments in Australia with AUSTRAC registration
Alchemy Pay announced its successful registration as a Digital Currency Exchange Provider with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre as of Jan. 27.
This regulatory approval enables Alchemy Pay ( ACH ) to provide secure and seamless fiat-to-crypto payment services within the Australian market.
With this registration, Alchemy Pay is now authorized to establish local payment facilitator relationships in Australia , enhancing crypto exchange services with competitive pricing tailored for Australian users. This milestone strengthens Alchemy Pay’s regional presence, positioning it alongside other prominent industry players operating under similar regulatory frameworks.
Alchemy Pay’s AUSTRAC registration brings several benefits to its operations in Australia. By complying with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations, the company ensures its services meet legal standards designed to prevent illegal activities.
This step reinforces trust among users, regulators, and industry partners by demonstrating a commitment to operating within Australia’s legal framework. It also allows Alchemy Pay to expand its presence in the Australian market, offering users easier ways to exchange between traditional currency and cryptocurrency.
Meeting these regulatory requirements reduces risks associated with financial crimes and strengthens the company’s ability to provide uninterrupted services while navigating the country’s evolving crypto landscape.
For those unfamiliar, fiat-to-crypto services help users convert traditional money, such as Australian dollars, into digital currencies like Bitcoin ( BTC ) or Ethereum ( ETH ).
Alchemy Pay’s global financial regulations
By registering with AUSTRAC , Alchemy Pay gains the ability to securely process these exchanges in Australia while adhering to the country’s financial rules. This ensures a safer experience for users and mitigates risks for the broader financial system.
This achievement aligns with Alchemy Pay’s strategic ambition to secure 20 regulatory licenses globally . The company has already registered as a Money Services Business with FINTRAC in Canada and expanded its North American footprint by obtaining eight Money Transmitter Licenses across the United States, including recent approvals in Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Wyoming.
Globally, Alchemy Pay is actively pursuing licenses in key markets such as Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, and Europe. This reflects the company’s dedication to fostering a compliant, secure, and interconnected crypto economy.
