Ripple CEO Reveals US National Reserve Ideas and Portfolio! Does He Have Bitcoin and Ethereum?
Ripple CEO Bard Garlinghouse explained his ideas on the national reserve.
While it is eagerly awaited whether a Bitcoin reserve will be created in the US, discussions continue about adding other altcoins besides BTC.
At this point, while Donald Trump gave the green light to include other altcoins in the reserves besides Bitcoin, Ripple CEO Bard Garlinghouse explained his ideas on the national reserve.
Accordingly, Brad Garlinghouse said he supports the idea of a US digital asset reserve that covers multiple tokens, not just Bitcoin (BTC) or XRP.
Sharing from his X account, Ripple CEO said that if a digital asset reserve is to be created, he thinks it should be diversified and not just a single token.
Noting that he has several other cryptocurrencies in his portfolio besides XRP, Bitcoin and Ethereum, Garlinghouse said:
“I have a few thoughts on maximalism… Let me say this as clearly as I can: The crypto industry has a real chance of achieving our common goals if we work together instead of tearing each other apart. This is not a zero-sum game and never will be.
I own XRP, Bitcoin, and Ethereum, among a few others. We live in a multi-chain world, and I advocate for equal opportunities, not one token competing against another.
“If a government digital asset reserve is going to be created, I believe it should be representative of the industry, not just one token (be it BTC, XRP or something else). The reserve should be diversified.”
As the reserve debate continues, Polymarket data shows that the probability of Donald Trump announcing a Bitcoin reserve within his first 100 days is only 19%.
Some thoughts on maximalism… let me say this as clearly as I can – the crypto industry has a real shot, here and now, to achieve the many goals we have in common, IF we work together instead of tearing each other down. This is not, and never will be, a zero-sum game.
• I own…
