Apollo launches tokenised private credit fund worth $1.2B
Apollo Global Management has announced the launch of a tokenised private credit fund in partnership with Securitize.
The Apollo Diversified Credit Securitize Fund (ACRED) will allow investors to access shares of the Apollo Diversified Credit Fund, which currently manages over $1.2 billion in assets.
This fund includes a diverse range of private credit assets, such as direct corporate loans and asset-backed loans.
According to Apollo, the fund achieved an annualied return exceeding 11% in the past year and more than 5.5% since its inception.
The tokenied fund will operate across several blockchain networks, including Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), Avalanche (CRYPTO:AVAX), Polygon (CRYPTO:MATIC), Aptos (CRYPTO:APT), and Ink (CRYPTO:INK).
This marks the first instance of Securitize launching tokenied funds on Solana or Ink, expanding its reach into new blockchain ecosystems.
Christine Moy, an Apollo partner, stated that this tokeniation could enhance access to private markets and improve secondary market liquidity.
The global market opportunity for tokenied real-world assets is estimated at $30 trillion, highlighting the potential for growth in this sector.
The U.S. private credit market has seen substantial growth, projected to increase from $1.5 trillion in 2025 to approximately $2.8 trillion by 2028.
Private credit currently represents a significant portion of total value locked in tokenied real-world assets, exceeding $11 billion as of January 30.
Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo emphasied that private credit is an area experiencing rapid expansion and that the partnership with Apollo is vital for unlocking broader investment opportunities.
Investors interested in ACRED will need to qualify as accredited investors and can access the fund exclusively through Securitize Markets.
