A class action lawsuit has been filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York against blockchain memcoin platform Pump.fun Solana It is noteworthy that this is already the second lawsuit since the beginning of 2025.
A new document filed with the court by law firms Burwick Law and Wolf Popper LLP alleges that the platform violates U.S. securities laws by selling unregistered securities disguised as meme tokens.
Plaintiff Diego Aguilar claims he lost money after buying the memecoins Fwog, Fred, and Griffan, which were heavily promoted by Pump.fun. He accuses the platform of offering automated tools that allow anyone to create and sell virtually worthless digital assets in minutes, making Pump.Fun a “joint issuer” of all tokens launched on its platform.
The lawsuit names multiple defendants: Baton Corporation Ltd (operating as Pump.fun), CEO Alon Cohen, CTO Dylan Kerler, and CEO Noah Tweedale.
This lawsuit was a continuation of another statements dated January 16, filed by Burwick Law on behalf of Kendall Carnahan.
