AB (formerly Newton) Announces New Cross-Chain Solution for BEP2 NEW-09E Assets

AB (formerly Newton) has released an official announcement regarding a new cross-chain solution for BEP2 NEW-09E assets (now $AB), originally issued in 2019. The solution aims to help users migrate their assets back to the AB mainnet after the shutdown of the BNB Beacon Chain.

The BNB Beacon Chain ceased operations and stopped block production at the end of 2024. While AB had previously notified NEW-09E holders through its official website and other channels to complete the cross-chain migration, approximately 65 million NEW-09E tokens remain unmigrated.

According to AB, after technical discussions with the BNB Chain team, a new cross-chain solution has been identified and is currently being implemented. The feature is expected to go live in 1 to 2 weeks, allowing NEW-09E holders to complete a one-time migration back to the AB mainnet.

AB emphasized that this initiative is designed to safeguard user assets, and further updates will be communicated through official channels.
