Taproot Wizards plans to auction 2,121 NFTs to raise $34 million
The Bitcoin Ordinals project Taproot Wizards plans to auction 2121 NFTs to raise $34 million. The project sold 3,000 "quantum cats" last year to raise support for the Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) OP_CAT. Despite technical issues, the series quickly sold out, raising 300 BTC in the process. Starting from March 25th, Wizards will sell to whitelisted buyers at a price of 0.2 BTC ($16,000), with any unsold items being sold in a Dutch auction.
