The Japanese listed company Metaplanet has repaid 2 billion yen in bonds ahead of schedule
According to media reports, the Japanese listed company Metaplanet has fully repaid in advance bonds worth 2 billion yen ($13.5 million) to consolidate its financial situation. Metaplanet redeemed its ninth series of ordinary bonds ahead of schedule on April 4th, more than five months before the maturity date, and disclosed this news on April 7th. These zero-coupon bonds were issued in March through Metaplanet's Evo fund for the acquisition of additional Bitcoin (BTC, priced at $78,509). The company stated that since these are zero-coupon bonds, repayment will not have a significant impact on the company's performance for fiscal year 2025.
