According to the official announcement, Securitize has announced the acquisition of MG Stover's fund management business, with its subsidiary Securitize Fund Services (SFS) thereby becoming the largest digital asset fund management platform globally. Following this acquisition, SFS manages a total asset size of $38 billion, covering 715 funds, including the $2.45 billion tokenized U.S. Treasury fund BUIDL in collaboration with BlackRock.
Securitize now offers integrated services, including fund management, token issuance, brokerage services, transfer agency, and alternative trading systems (ATS). Company CEO Carlos Domingo stated that this acquisition "cements Securitize as an institutional-grade integrated platform for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and fund management." As traditional finance accelerates blockchain adoption, asset tokenization is becoming one of the fastest-growing sectors in digital assets. According to forecasts by BCG and Ripple, the global market size for tokenized assets is expected to reach $18 trillion by 2033.
