Framework Ventures Co-Founder: Berachain Mainnet to Launch by Year-End
Speaking at Token 2049 in Singapore on September 18, Framework Ventures co-founder Vance Spencer said that the Berachain mainnet and tokens are scheduled to be launched by the end of 2024.1 Berachain's POL consensus mechanism can be used to introduce a fully coherent blockchain ecosystem. Berachain's POL consensus mechanism could introduce a fully-consistent blockchain ecosystem by shifting some of the profits back to ecosystem participants: when a user pledges a BERA, the user must direct the liquidity gained to these primitives. This way all fees stay in the ecosystem. They all flow to BGT and BERA holders, which is what the market craves. Notably, on April 12, the new public chain Berachain announced the closing of a $100 million Series B funding round, about 45% higher than the previously reported amount. The round was co-led by Brevan Howard Digital's Abu Dhabi office and Framework Ventures, with participation from Polychain Capital, Hack VC and Tribe Capital.
