Ripple’s XRP is up by more one percent and is trading at $2.28 level at the time of writing. After retesting levels below $2, the price is now maintaining bullish momentum. The price of XRP has been consolidating around the $2 range, and this is where it could stay for a while, which is a good sign for holders. Overall, the market is seeing a lot of liquidations, with $680 million wiped out in the last 12 hours alone.  Short-Term Price Range and Potential Movements Currently, XRP is trading between $1.96 and its all-time high of $3.30. The price remains squeezed within this range, and a potential upside movement could still emerge. A short-term bullish scenario could see one or two additional highs as part of a larger wave structure, similar to what is expected in other major cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin. Possible Elliott Wave Count and Structure There are two possible Elliott Wave counts on the XRP chart. The first suggests the top may already be in place, with the current price action forming a fourth wave triangle. If this count plays out, a final fifth wave could complete the current bullish cycle. The second wave count proposes that an additional 4-5% upside movement may occur before the cycle concludes. The focus remains on the current structure and its potential implications. Validation and Invalidations: Key Price Levels To keep the triangle scenario alive, XRP must stay above $1.90. If the price breaks below this level, it would invalidate the triangle count, suggesting a more direct ABC correction. This scenario would likely see XRP move lower before any potential recovery. San Francisco-based Ripple continues to expand its presence in the Asia–Pacific (APAC) region with a new partnership in South Korea. The new partnership aims to capitalize on South Korea’s thriving crypto regulatory landscape, including the blockchain regulation-free zone in Busan. BDACS And Ripple Team Up For Crypto Custody The enterprise blockchain company has signed a strategic partnership with BDACS, a South Korean institutional crypto storage firm, to support institutional custody for XRP and Ripple’s US dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin. As part of the partnership, BDACS will integrate Ripple Custody, the firm’s storage service, to secure XRP, RLUSD, and other digital assets for financial institutions in South Korea. Ripple president Monica Long emphasized the significance of institutional-grade custody amid increasing enterprise interest in crypto. “South Korea is gearing up for a wave of institutional crypto adoption — very excited for Ripple Custody to plant another flag in APAC with BDACS for XRP and RLUSD,” Long opined in a statement. Commenting on the development, BDACS CEO Harry Ryoo said his company is committed to providing secure infrastructure for institutional crypto adoption. “BDACS will provide a secure and reliable custody service to support Ripple’s pioneering blockchain initiatives. Ultimately, this partnership will enable both companies to enhance and expand the digital asset ecosystem,” Ryoo said. Ripple Navigating South Korea’s Crypto Regulatory Landscape Notably, Korean authorities are currently attempting to make clearer regulations for corporate participation in crypto assets and stablecoins. According to Ripple, the new partnership aligns with South Korea’s Financial Services Commission’s (FSC) roadmap for regulatory approval. The firm explained: “This partnership will support the growth of XRPL developers and its ecosystem, expand the usability of Ripple’s stablecoin (RLUSD), and leverage synergies with Busan, Korea’s blockchain regulation-free zone.” This move is part of Ripple’s effort to expand its offerings beyond payments into other crypto-related sectors. As ZyCrypto reported previously, the total amount of custodied cryptocurrencies is forecasted to reach $16 trillion by 2030. This rosy prediction is fueled by the expectation that 10% of the world’s GDP would be tokenized by then. As you may recall, Ripple acquired crypto custody provider Metaco for a total of $250,000 back in May 2023. Last October, the blockchain startup launched new services aimed at helping banks store digital assets on behalf of clients — as a broader push into custody. The XRP cryptocurrency could be finally ready to rocket as Ripple makes further inroads into the mainstream arena amid speculation that the long-drawn-out lawsuit with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is about to end. At press time, the coin is trading hands for around $2.14, a 1.4% drop on the day. Once bullish momentum returns, it won’t be long until XRP crosses the elusive $3 threshold and eventually reaches $10.

Solana outperformed most cryptocurrencies Friday as most cryptocurrencies sank further into negative territory. Notably, SOL emerged as the best performer among the top 10 crypto assets over the last 24 hours. The token’s upsurge came after CME Group, the world’s largest derivatives marketplace, announced it will introduce Solana futures in March, pending approval by U.S. financial regulators. The confirmation follows earlier speculation that a leak on the exchange’s staging website signaled XRP and Solana futures were in the pipeline. CME To Launch SOL Futures On March 17 The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group is set to introduce Solana futures on March 17, further expanding its crypto derivatives beyond Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). According to the Friday press release, the new contracts will allow traders to manage Solana price risk with micro-sized contracts of 25 SOL and larger-sized contracts of 500 SOL. “With the launch of our new SOL futures contracts, we are responding to increasing client demand for a broader set of regulated products to manage cryptocurrency price risk,” Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group global head of cryptocurrency products, posited in a statement. The contracts would be cash-settled, based on the CME CF Solana-Dollar Reference Rate, which tracks the price of SOL daily. CME already offers BTC and ETH futures, which have seen impressive growth in trading activity. The company registered an average daily volume of over 200,000 contracts in 2025 — a 70% increase from 2024. If approved, it will be the first time institutions can gain exposure to SOL, the industry’s sixth largest digital asset by market value. SOL ETFs Next? Notably, CME’s decision to list SOL futures greatly increases the likelihood that corresponding spot ETF filings could be greenlighted in the foreseeable future as futures typically act as a precursor for regulatory approval of ETF products. Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, Bitwise, Canary, 21Shares, and VanEck have all applied for Solana-based ETFs with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC recently acknowledged a handful of these filings, with the regulator’s decision expected later this year. Pundits are optimistic about potential approval, with JPMorgan projecting that SOL ETFs will pull in $3 billion- $6 billion in assets within their first months of trading. As ZyCrypto reported earlier this week, two proposed SOL futures ETFs– the Volatility Shares Solana ETF (SOLZ) and Volatility Shares 2x Solana ETF (SOLT) — were added to the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) website, marking a step toward potential market debut. Despite most digital assets tumbling on Friday, SOL was changing hands for $145.61 up 7.8% over the last 24 hours, CoinGecko data shows.
